Many short bed truck owners who have manual slide hitches, or even non-sliders, recognize too late that they’d really rather have a SuperGlide. With fewer hassles and fewer accidents, particularly those who have “forgotten” to move their hitch and broken back windows once already.
But the drawback has been that they don’t want to remove their existing base rails and drill additional holes in the bed of their truck to install a new SuperGlide. The Industry Standard Base Rail Adapter solves all that.
Simply remove the old hitch, install the Industry Standard Base Rail Adapter, sit a new 14K or 18K SuperGlide on the rails already installed in the bed, attach a capture plate to the king pin box, and you are ready to tow.
All SuperGlide hitches will require the installation of a capture plate in order for the hitch to function, either the QuickConnect capture plate or in installations where a QuickConnect Plate may not be available, a Universal Capture Plate may be used. The “Universal Capture Plate” can be used for any trailer. On most king pin boxes, this is relatively simple, but can be time consuming to install. However, in cases where the fore-to-aft dimension of the king pin box is very short, installation of extension plates to support the capture plate, and knee braces to support the leading edge of the front extension plate will be necessary. The installation of the extension plates and knee braces requires additional time and effort to complete the proper installation.

PullRite SuperGlide 18k Hitch is the ONLY true solution to safe 5th wheel towing with short bed trucks – protecting passengers, trucks, & trailers. SuperGlide automatically moves the trailer away from the cab while making turns – allowing up to 90 degree turning without stopping, slowing down, or even thinking about the space between the truck and trailer – and then automatically returns the hitch & trailer to the safe towing position over the truck axle when the turn is completed – going forward or backing up.
